Do
whatever you want to: |

The human spirit can acheive whatever it sets its focus on. In other words, we can accomplish whatever we want to do if we want to do it bad enough. Most failures in life come from a failure of desire. If I want a thing bad enough I will do whatever is necessary to acheive my goal. You see there is almost a law in this universe that says that you have to pay for what you get. The pay is not always in money; sometimes it is money. But if I want an expensive home, car, education, I have to pay for it through hard work and sacrifice. There is no free ride. I know that's an old expression, but it still remains true. How badly do you want a thing will determine how much sacrifice you are willing to pay to get it. Take physical fitness as an example. Why complain about your gut getting bigger or your hips spreading more and still eat the wrong foods at the wrong times and fail to exercise. You too can have a fit body, but hom badly do you want it? Do you want it more than you want to sit around and do nothing to get it? Or are you willing to get up from your complaints and willing to run, hike, swim, exercise, etc.? That is the cost. There are no pills you can take or silver bullets--those things are for vampires, and they don't exist. I wanted a home and a nice car, but I knew no one was going to give it to me. I worked two jobs and saved my money to get my down payment on that home. My social life was given up; those extra items I enjoyed buying were put behind me. I wanted the home and the car. I paid the price. How hungry are you for the things you desire? Don't look for Santa Claus. He is for children; mature, responsible adults pay for what they want, if they want it badly enough.
