Our Editorial Policy
Although
Gibbs is
a magazine focused on and directed to the African American and ethnic
minority communities, it does not promote, subscribe to, or accept
racism or racial intolerance as a policy or a behavior. Although
our articles may have, from time to time, a harsh, frank, and racy edge to
them, they are meant to promote discussion and thought on particular
issues. The language is reflective of the harshness of Black and
ethnic minority times, not intolerance in any way. As a policy that
we scrupulously adhere to, we will not publish articles that are
racist, race hating, or intolerant in this magazine. If you have
submitted articles that you have not seen published and they speak to
race, it may be that we have determined them to be offensive, not in good
taste, or not within our policy on racial tolerance. Our aim is
to provoke thought and generate feedback, not to promote bigotry, racism,
or intolerance in any way. Frank A. Jones, CEO
